Professor David Darrow recently published his Tsardom of Sufficiency, Empire of Norms in which exams how the application of statistical measurement to the peasant economy in Russia impacted the economy from the eighteenth century to the Civil War.

Presentation at the Regional Neighborhood Network Conference October 5, 2018. Recent UD Graduates and participants in the Dayton Arena History Project, Josh Steed and Michael Marracco, presented alongside Dr. Uhlman at the conference. Their talk examined the links connecting the building of the UD Arena, urban development, and the future of revitalization in the city of Dayton.
The Dayton History Project of which the Arena website is a part received an $8,000 dollar University of Dayton Experiental Learning Grant on September 10, 2018. The funds will be used to expand the class and cover expenses. During the summer of 2018 some of the funds will be used to hire two interns to continue building the website. Part of it will also be used next fall and spring semesters to pay for website hosts and domain names. it will also be used to cover the cost of student travel to archives.
